A Little About Wishbone Design Studio
The story of Wishbone Design Studio began in 2005, when a family of 5 bewildered Kiwis (2 adults, 1 son, 1 daughter and 1 daughter on the way) found themselves living in New York City. The first Wishbone Bike was born out of wanting to give their children a taste of the childhood the talented creators had- when they were little and living in New Zealand the grass was long, the air was fresh and the folks weren't always watching!... They ran where they liked, rode until dark and collapsed smiling at the end of a crazy day. From their humble beginnings (where Richard designed and built the first Wishbone prototypes in their NY bathroom), the company now operates within a design studio in Wellington and, a new generation of children (on both sides of the Equator) are thankfully enjoying the thrill of getting around on Wishbone bikes. The innovative team at Wishbone Design Studio are constantly challenging themselves to create products that transform experiences, reduce overall consumption, deliver a positive environmental outcome and bring people closer together.
